Can you make summer clothes from duct tape???

You can have lots of summertime fun with duct tape!!

Summertime is the perfect moment to let kids’ imaginations soar. They create their own magical world of knights and dragons, frogs and princes, little pony’s and glitter, or pirates and buried treasure. Summer crafts and activities encourages tons of fun and creativity for everyone!

Set aside a breezy afternoon for arts and crafts to assemble unique items using duct tape.
Here are some fun things to create using duct tape

Create a fun or funky duct tape dress!
1. For the little princess, create a duct tape skirt without needle and thread.
A. First measure the hips and desired length. Cut a strip of duct tape a little longer and lay it flat on the floor with the sticky side up and cut another piece. Lay the one sticky side up so that the longer edge overlaps the first long piece. Continue to add more strips the same way until it’s a little longer than the skirt length. You’re creating the front half of the skirt.
B. Continue cutting the duct tape, but this time, lay the piece sticky side down on top of the top piece of duct tape. Put one end of your new piece cut down and slowly smooth the rest out across the skirt. Keep doing it until the entire sheet is covered. You don’t need to worry about everything being perfectly aligned right now.
C. Make another sheet, but this one should be wider so it can wrap around the entire back. Cut off any sides that aren’t even.
D. Tape one side of two pieces loosely together and hold it up. Measure where you should cut off the other side and make a mark. Don’t forget there has to be enough room to climb in and out. Cut a long slit on one side of the top of the skirt so it’s easy to sit, and slip on and off. Add a button to it so it doesn’t fall off too.
E. Use colored markers to create designs. Add festive beads for color – anything to create a one-of-a-kind duct tape skirt for the pretty princess!
Duct Tape Helpful Reminders
1. Duct tape comes in all types of colors and patterns, not just grey! Colors are best for an original, fun look.
2. Duct tape can be hard to work with, so remember to have patience.
3. When you cut the tape, make sure you hold it really tight. If you don’t, then the tape will fold and you won’t be able to cut it properly. This also goes for when you’re putting two pieces together.
4. If you’re cutting multiple strips, make sure to get them as far away from each other as possible.
